Job Summary

The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a distinguished neuroimmunologist to join our faculty as an open rank professor in the Department of Neurology. As a renowned expert in the field, you will be responsible for providing state-of-the-art patient-centered neurological care, engaging in translational and clinical research, and training the next generation of neurologists and clinical neuroscientists.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical responsibilities include caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teaching duties involve educating medical students and housestaff on issues related to MS/Neuroimmunology.
  • Research responsibilities include participating in and leading clinical research and clinical trials.
  • Service commitments include serving on departmental, School of Medicine, and/or University committees.

Requirements

  • MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent)
  • BC/BE in Neurology
  • Completion of a Neuroimmunology/MS Fellowship Training Program
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications, estimated to be around $250,000 per year. In addition to a competitive salary, VCU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
