Job Summary:

The Executive Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role will provide strategic guidance on guest rooms and public areas, as well as management of all housekeeping activities, including budget reviews, supply chain management, staffing, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operations, including daily opening and closing procedures, and staff assignments.
  • Ensure adequate levels of supplies and materials, and request replenishment as required.
  • Manage lost guest property in accordance with Resort procedures.
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls, and well-managed schedules.
  • Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, and ensure company policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Conduct, direct, and participate in all departmental inventories; keep records of all inventories for future references.
  • Maintain good communication and work relationships within all departments in the hotel, and with external customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure staffing levels cover business demands.
  • Recruit, manage, train, and develop the Housekeeping team; conduct ongoing trainings for existing and new staff.
  • Inspect rooms and provide ongoing feedback to the team.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of Housekeeping management experience.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking ability.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within and outside Housekeeping department.
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve with guests, employees, and various other departments within the resort.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 65 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must have excellent organization and computer skills.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License.
