Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain environmental compliance programs, including air quality, drinking water, and hazardous waste management.
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review environmental reports, assessments, and data.
  • Oversee environmental permitting, project planning, implementation, and administration.
  • Assist in providing excellent customer service to military installation activities.
  • Provide high-level expertise for completion of external and internal environmental audits.
  • Oversee environmental training programs for all site personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, or chemistry.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a DoD Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
  • Alaska DEC Water Operation certification a plus.
Working Environment:

This position will be primarily based in an office setting, with occasional travel to OCONUS locations. You may be exposed to extreme cold and extended periods of darkness due to geographic location.

Physical Activities:
  • Walking and standing during environmental inspections and site visits.
  • Bending, crouching, climbing ladders and stairs, and reaching to collect samples or inspect equipment.
  • Lifting and carrying environmental monitoring equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
