Action For Boston Community Development is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Infant/Toddler Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational programming to infants and toddlers, promoting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching Practices: Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters children's curiosity, engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
- Child Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify children's strengths, needs, and interests.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a educational setting.
- Certifications: EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher certified or equivalent.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in a language spoken by families served by ABCD preferred.
The Infant/Toddler Specialist will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The position involves lifting, carrying, and moving children and equipment, as well as standing for long periods of time.
