Job Description

At Soliant, we are seeking a skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the educational experience of students through effective assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and parents.

  • We are looking for a School Psychologist with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a school setting.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • They will also develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Additionally, the School Psychologist will provide direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • They will consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes.
  • The School Psychologist will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
  • They will also conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations is also a key responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program is required.
  • Valid Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist is necessary.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders are essential.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education is also required.
