About The Role:
Boston Scientific is on the lookout for a senior cybersecurity solutions engineer to spearhead and implement various cybersecurity strategies. This position will concentrate on fortifying the security framework of our products, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring adherence to quality standards and protocols. The Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will be crucial in executing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies across our offerings.
The ideal candidate will exhibit advanced technical expertise and outstanding communication abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. This role is essential to the Urology Research and Development division, where you will lead and assist in pre- and post-market security initiatives, including vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, penetration testing, and security evaluations.

This hybrid role requires approximately three days per week onsite at our Arden Hills, MN, or Marlborough, MA offices.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Oversee the integration and management of tools for pre- and post-market security evaluations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Execute post-market activities to identify and address vulnerabilities in Boston Scientific's products, offering technical guidance to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
- Track changes in security controls of products, maintain accurate product inventories and tracking systems, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Legal and R&D teams to assess technical clauses in hospital cybersecurity agreements.
- Deliver security risk assessments and threat modeling services for Urology products, guiding the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct application security reviews and perform vulnerability and penetration testing on medical devices and software.
- Quickly master the technical aspects of Boston Scientific's products and customer requirements to drive necessary improvements.
- Promote an inclusive work environment that encourages contributions from all team members towards organizational objectives.
- Supervise activities in functional areas, divisions, or projects as necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Research & Development and/or Information Technology, or equivalent with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity within medical device development or healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning in cybersecurity and a strong passion for product security.
- Expertise in vulnerability analysis of Windows and Linux operating systems and software.
- Proficiency across multiple operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Mobile).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST Special Publications and ISO standards.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, HCISPP, CEH, Security+, Network+).
