Job Title: Mobile Healthcare Paramedic (Per Diem)

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Healthcare Paramedic to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Mobile Healthcare Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Job Summary:

The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic will be responsible for assessing, interacting, and treating patients under the Mobile Integrated Healthcare program. This includes facilitating continuity of care by interacting with patients' physicians and healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will provide primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to patients' needs by performing home visits, assessments, and treatments in accordance with MIH protocols and procedures.
  • Function in both traditional (field paramedic) and non-traditional settings, providing ALS care activities and non-emergency care with a long-term focus.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Follow operational flow and procedures efficiently and effectively to maximize utilization.
  • Assist in the development of processes and education materials pertaining to Mobile Integrated Healthcare.
  • Function as a facilitator and educator for clinical programs, including continuing education for field crews and new hires.
  • Drive performance management, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and customer service.
  • Prepare written reports as required.
  • Maintain effective scene management/leadership, following ICS protocols.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in emergency medical services, healthcare, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a field paramedic.
  • EMT I/C or equivalent instructor experience.
  • Instructor certification in ACLS, PALS, or related pediatric course, AMLS, CPR.
  • MA EMT-P Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license with no driving violations.
  • Driving record in compliance with department policy.
