We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Interactive Medical Specialists, Inc. in Northern California.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the dentist in a fast-paced dental environment, providing exceptional patient care and support. This is a day shift position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist in preparing patients for procedures, setting up equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, set up instrument trays, and prepare materials for dental procedures.
- Take and record medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment information.
- Assist in managing medical and dental emergencies, exposing dental diagnostic x-rays, and applying protective coatings to teeth.
- Provide postoperative instructions and make preliminary impressions for study casts.
- Clean and polish removable appliances and perform clerical duties within the department.
Requirements:
- One year of experience within the last 3 years in a dental assisting role.
- Graduate from an accredited school for Dental Assistants.
- Licensed/Registered Dental Assistant certification or permit for use of dental x-ray equipment.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- US citizenship required.
