Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at Holiday Inn - Los Angeles Gateway - Torrance. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests during banquet and catering functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Serve menu items in a timely and efficient manner, according to the banquet event order.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Clear tables after service and remove trays of dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with set up and break down of function space, and plating of meals.

Requirements

  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Food service experience with general knowledge of banquet operations.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
