We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs, working under the general supervision of the Cath Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmias recognition.
- Comply with principles of sterile technique and collect and assemble data for database, outcome analysis, and performance improvement.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes to the Cath Lab when on call.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
- Two years of current experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program completion.
- Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date and maintained.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of start date.
- Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred.
