Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Direction: Oversee the development of processes and initiatives to improve Revenue Cycle performance, ensuring alignment with client executive satisfaction and organizational goals.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, facilitating communication between client leadership, patients, supporting teams, and payors.
- Process Improvement: Develop, deploy, and improve the Optum Global Operations Model, The Optum Performance System (TOPS), and other major organizational initiatives.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues through data collection, root cause analysis, reporting, mitigation action plans, and communication.
- Team Management: Oversee reoccurring monthly and ad-hoc meetings to coordinate patient access activities, develop policies and procedures, and lead by example.
- Technology Integration: Liaise with IT to ensure seamless technology integration and effective use of Patient Access technologies.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in team-level quality assurance, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and process improvement activities.
- 4+ years of experience as a Patient Access Manager or Director in an acute hospital setting.
- 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within Revenue Cycle environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Certification within Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and/or the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM).
- 7+ years of healthcare industry and revenue cycle experience.
- Experience leading or participating in large Patient Access-related IT implementations.
