Position Overview

Faulkner University is in search of a dedicated professional to take on the role of Recruiter/Admissions Counselor within the Undergraduate Admissions department. This individual will act as a guide, advisor, and representative of the University's policies for those interested in gaining admission.

This is a full-time position requiring over 40 hours per week, spanning a 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attracting prospective students to Faulkner University
  • Engaging with churches to identify potential students from the church of Christ community
  • Collecting contact details for prospective students through various channels such as church directories, Christian high schools, youth events, Christian camps, College Day activities, and visits to high schools and junior colleges
  • Establishing communication with potential students through home visits, written correspondence, phone outreach, and campus tours
  • Providing recommendations to the Director of Admissions regarding scholarship opportunities based on student qualifications
  • Assisting prospective students in securing financial aid in collaboration with the Financial Aid Office
  • Maintaining strong relationships with guidance counselors at high schools and junior colleges
  • Following up on all received applications
  • Representing the University at secondary educational institutions
  • Willingness to travel frequently as part of the role

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Active membership in the church of Christ is essential
