Design and Deliver MEP Systems for Aviation Facilities
Parsons is seeking a talented MEP Engineer, Aviation to design and deliver MEP systems for airport terminals, hangars, control towers, fueling stations, and other aviation-related facilities. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems design and construction, with specific expertise in aviation facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing MEP systems for airport facilities, including airfield lighting, fueling systems, baggage handling, and HVAC systems.
- Conducting feasibility studies, energy audits, and lifecycle cost analyses to optimize MEP system designs.
- Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Managing MEP design consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Reviewing and approving MEP drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Performing technical evaluations of MEP equipment and systems to ensure they meet performance, safety, and sustainability goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, with eligibility to obtain licensure in TX.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on aviation or airport projects.
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IBC) as they relate to MEP systems in airport environments.
- Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
