Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation Technologist to support the research, translational, and clinical patient care services in the area of Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR) and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care.

  • Instrumentation Technologist I (RE004)
  • Instrumentation Technologist II (RE051)

Education and Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Required:
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Registered/registry eligible in nuclear medicine: NMTCB-CNMT or ARRT(N)
  • Preferred:
  • PET Certification (NMTCB), CT Certification (ARRT)
  • At least one year (internship or professional experience) within Nuclear Medicine and/or Positron Emission Technology
Work Environment:

This position requires work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

This position specifically offers outpatient clinic, no taking calls, no weekend shifts.

Additional Information:

The department will not be able to support a request for a J-1 waiver. If you choose to pursue a waiver and apply for our position, neither the UW nor UWMF will reimburse you for your legal or waiver fees.

University sponsorship is not available for this position, including transfers of sponsorship. The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring their continuous eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of an employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
