Hybrid Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office 2-3 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Software Development:
Craft and implement web-based software solutions that align with the standards of Opus applications while adhering to industry best practices. Collect, evaluate, and document business requirements pertinent to the development of these applications. Convert business needs into technical specifications and ultimately deliver solutions that fulfill those requirements. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and fellow IT professionals.

Support and Maintenance:
Provide assistance for existing software by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and conducting routine maintenance. Assess current applications and business workflows to propose enhancements. Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and requirements for potential improvements. Manage and support databases associated with Opus web-based systems. Resolve occasional challenges that fall outside daily responsibilities and recommend solutions. Occasionally provide training for users and cross-train technical personnel on custom software.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing web applications using C#, particularly with ASP.NET Core (Razor pages, MVC, web APIs) and Entity Framework Core.

Proficiency in Visual Studio and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps). Understanding of common web application concerns such as dependency injection, logging, configuration, authentication, and authorization.

Strong front-end development skills (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap or similar UI frameworks). Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Demonstrated software design and business analysis capabilities, including collaboration with business stakeholders. A willingness to learn new technologies and stay current with development tools and trends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Experience in writing automated tests (unit, integration) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Familiarity with TypeScript, LESS, or Sass/SCSS. Experience in designing databases in MS SQL Server, and working with Telerik DevCraft and Kendo UI. Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful web APIs, OAuth, and JSON. Knowledge of functional programming languages or functional programming techniques in C# (LINQ, pure functions, discriminated unions/sum types, domain-driven design leveraging the type system). Front-end design experience is a plus.
