Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in coordinating service appointments and recommending necessary repairs to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome clients promptly and courteously, assessing their vehicle concerns.
  • Inform clients about vehicle maintenance and the importance of adhering to manufacturer guidelines through maintenance schedules.
  • In cases of additional required services, clearly communicate the specifics, including associated costs and timeframes.
  • Monitor the status of each service order throughout the day, keeping clients informed of any changes in estimates or timelines.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone regarding service progress and appointments, ensuring timely communication. Deliver completed vehicles to clients and address any questions they may have.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic understanding of automotive mechanics.
  • Previous sales experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Familiarity with the tools, techniques, and materials utilized in vehicle maintenance and repair.

· Experience in using various hand tools, shop equipment, and automotive diagnostic tools.

· Knowledge of fundamental automotive repair and service techniques.

· Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions with precision.

· Eagerness to learn about new automotive technologies.

· Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.

· Proficient in maintaining detailed records and reports.

· Skill in managing multiple tasks, organizing workload, and meeting deadlines.

· Experience working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared objectives.

· Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a drug screening test.
