Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at MedStar Health. As a Multiskilled Rad Technologist I, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of radiographic examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct radiographic examinations using computer programmed and manual equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Operate radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the utmost attention to individual medical needs, dignity, and comfort.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, demonstrating independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including patient information, exam results, and imaging protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration and state licensure required.
  • 3-4 years' experience in the registry post-primary pathway certification preferred.
  • Registry in one or more of the following areas: MRI, CT, Mammography, Cardiac-Interventional Radiography, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry, Quality Management, or Sonography.
  • CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification required.
