Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Labor Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment, as well as conducting routine facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment to maximize run time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties following a standard schedule to ensure equipment is functioning at maximum efficiency.
  • Record all actions taken in equipment maintenance logs promptly and accurately.
  • Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Run errands for parts or supplies as needed.
  • Assist Facilities Engineer in coordinating subcontractor work.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and stocked work area and equipment.
  • Provide off-hour coverage/support on a call basis.
  • Travel to and provide support at McHenry, IL facility upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of machinery repair, troubleshooting, and building maintenance.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with basic hand tools, shop equipment, electrical multimeters, and amp probes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in machine controls systems, relay logic, PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and motor drives.
  • Ability to use and read measuring tools.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Competent knowledge of equipment wiring and basic building wiring.
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics, and light plumbing work.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance schedules, schematics, and manuals.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use the internet to research and source parts.
