Electrical Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to join our team at ResourceTek. As an Electrical Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and solutions for coil manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation systems and solutions for coil manufacturing processes, adhering to industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and opportunities, providing technical expertise and guidance to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Integrate multiple automation platforms into one network for data acquisition and control.
  • Develop detailed specifications, control narratives, and functional descriptions for automation systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Design and configure electrical control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs), using appropriate software tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in automation engineering, preferably within the industrial manufacturing or oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, DCS, HMIs, and SCADA.
  • Experience with Rockwell Studio5000, Factory Talk Historian, and PlantPax.
  • Experience setting up process control networks.
