Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Test Technician to perform testing on printed circuit board assemblies and final products directly on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing faults down to the component level and will be adept at working outside of a test lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct testing on printed circuit board assemblies and final products on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot electronic devices to the component level, identifying and isolating defects.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators to diagnose issues.
• Interpret schematics, engineering documents, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Establish and maintain communications between devices using COM ports, wireless networks, and wired Ethernet connections.
• Work with programming devices and components using tools like MPLAB's ICD3.
• Assemble and disassemble products using basic hand tools.
• Collaborate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers through written and verbal communication.

Required Education

• Associate's Degree in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic devices.

Required Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Proven experience troubleshooting electronic devices to the component level, with a solid understanding of the operation of transistors, resistors, capacitors, and inductors in circuits.
• Proficiency with computer systems and experience establishing communications between devices via COM ports, wireless networks, and Ethernet connections.
• Ability to interpret schematics, engineering documents, and BOMs.
• Thorough understanding of test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.
• Experience with programming devices and components using equipment like MPLAB's ICD3.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in assembling and disassembling products using basic hand tools.
