Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist to join our team at ACCEL Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational and behavioral support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with IEPs.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to inform instruction and identify areas of need for students.
  • Develop and implement behavior improvement plans to support students with behavioral challenges.
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide academic and social-emotional support to students in a resource room setting.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.
Requirements
  • Current state license in special education.
  • Knowledge of state and national standards for special education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
