Job Overview

Reports to: Senior Director of Facilities

Position Objective:

The role involves executing daily housekeeping tasks in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as directed by the Administrator or Senior Director of Nursing, to ensure the establishment is kept in a hygienic, secure, and welcoming condition.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to comprehend, articulate, and adhere to both verbal and written instructions.
  • Minimum age of 21 years, possession of a valid Class C Georgia Driver's License, proof of vehicle insurance, and adherence to company policy regarding MVR standards.
  • Compliance with state mandates concerning a GBI and FBI criminal history record check, including fingerprinting.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and Tuberculosis testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts routine housekeeping duties and specific assignments; cleans, sanitizes, and disinfects all areas and items within the facility, including furniture, fixtures, waste receptacles, windows, floors, and restrooms, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and methods.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean, safe, and appealing condition, clearly marking hazardous areas with caution signs as necessary.
  • Ensures that all equipment, tools, and supplies are stored correctly and that workspaces are free from hazardous materials.
  • Adheres to established infection control, safety, and sanitation protocols while performing housekeeping tasks and promptly reports any hazardous conditions to the appropriate authorities.
  • Respects resident confidentiality and treats all residents with dignity and respect, complying with the Resident's Rights regulations.
  • Follows cleaning schedules and reports any incidents or accidents to the Senior Director of Facilities. In case of emergencies, contacts the area leader.
  • Ensures proper cleaning and storage of equipment and supply carts, maintaining an adequate inventory of housekeeping supplies and notifying the Director of Facilities of any shortages.
  • Participates in orientation, training, and staff meetings as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

  5. Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, and hear; frequently required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, or lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
