Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Compounder to join our team at Givaudan Fragrances. As a Compounder, you will be responsible for blending ingredients according to formulas provided, ensuring high-quality products are produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulation and Blending: Mixes materials according to formulas using heating and chilling methods, checking materials to ensure color, odor, and other characteristics meet customer requirements.
  • Quality Control: Processes, filters, and samples material as needed, maintaining accurate records of all work functions performed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Works in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and internal safety guidelines and training, including the handling of hazardous wastes.
  • Inventory Management: Takes inventory of material and makes or reports corrections as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with proficiency in basic mathematical skills (Metric vs. English system).
  • Experience: 2-4 years related experience in a production environment.
  • Skills: Product knowledge, including color and odor, familiarity with computer functions/menus and automated systems, and knowledge of dispensing or batch-processing manufacturing.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and manipulate, push/pull, and roll containers that weigh up to 500 lbs.
Working Conditions

Exposure to hot and cold environments, weather, fumes, dust, and gases are frequent. May be required to wear a respirator for chemical exposure.
