Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
  • Prepare assigned sauces and food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Adhere to portion control and inventory management standards.
  • Follow food allergy protocols and accommodate special requests.
  • Prepare and produce ready-to-use foods, garnishes, and condiments for service.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Utilize kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area throughout the shift.
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience by exceeding expectations.
  • Assist in the storage, receiving, and rotation of food products as necessary.
  • Collaborate with both back-of-house and front-of-house team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support fellow cooks during peak service times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • No formal education required.
  • Previous experience in food preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong judgment skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must possess all necessary food and alcohol certifications as required by the location.

Department: Kitchen Operations

Reports to: Executive Chef

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • 75% of the time spent working at a prep table or stove.
  • 75% of the time involves reaching, bending, and cleaning.
  • 60% of the time requires performing tasks under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • 50% of the time involves lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Good hearing is necessary for effective communication.
  • Must have dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
