Pediatric Nurse Residency Program Overview

Seattle Children's is seeking highly motivated and compassionate registered nurses to join our one-year RN Residency Program. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in pediatric nursing while working alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.

Program Components:

  • Pediatric curriculum with various learning modalities
  • Patient care orientation with a nurse preceptor
  • Participation in an evidence-based project under the guidance of an experienced nurse leader
  • Evaluation of new graduate nurse competency
  • Ongoing support by nursing leaders
  • Mentorship by an experienced nurse

  • Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU)
  • Surgical RC5/FB8
  • Surgical R6
  • Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Requirements:

  • Current Washington State RN License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • PEARS or PALS certification required for certain departments

Compensation and Benefits:

$47.60 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
