Job Summary

As a Business Intelligence and Data Engineer at Amazon Web Services, you will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision making within the ADC Infrastructure Operations organization. This position requires a strong background in data analysis, data visualization, and data engineering, with a focus on developing and maintaining information data warehouses and utilizing insight platforms to support business decision-making.

About the Team

The ADC Infrastructure Operations Team is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the global Amazon Data Center infrastructure. This team supports all aspects of the Data Center based organizations, including safety, security, maintenance, daily operations, logistics, engineering, and equipment management. As a Business Intelligence and Data Engineer, you will work closely with this team to develop and implement data-driven solutions to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain information data warehouses to support business decision-making
- Utilize insight platforms to enable data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with the ADC Infrastructure Operations Team to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Work with business owners to understand their data and reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into the data warehouse

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, and data engineering
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with SQL and scripting languages such as Python
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company and may provide additional forms of compensation such as equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
