Position Overview:

The Technology Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the educational technology team, educators, and administrative staff within the Education Services Division. This role encompasses a range of technical responsibilities, including the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various educational technologies, such as computers, printers, audio-visual equipment, and software solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in technology or a related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as MCP/MCSA/MCITP/A+ or equivalent experience are advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
• Strong understanding of Chrome OS and Apple iOS.
• Hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to swiftly and creatively resolve complex technical issues.
• Capacity to learn and instruct others on new technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently to various educational sites, including some overnight stays.
• Possession of a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
• Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
• Experience working with diverse groups and individuals with varying levels of technological proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a self-directed team.
• Understanding and empathy towards students with special needs.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Technology Support Specialist, you may be required to perform the following essential functions:

• Provide on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and repairs, primarily focusing on locations in designated areas.
• Respond promptly to help desk inquiries, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and configure hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain regular communication with staff and building supervisors.
• Transport and set up equipment as necessary in educational settings.
• Keep accurate and updated inventory records for all agency equipment.
• Assist with inventory audits at various locations as required.
• Support the creation and maintenance of user accounts for computers and software.
• Develop reference materials and documentation for users, including operational instructions and training guides.
