Job Summary:

As a Service Ambassador with SMS Holdings, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall appearance and experience of our service district. This position requires a high level of visibility and interaction with the public, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observation and Reporting: Maintain a watchful eye for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity, reporting incidents to Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. You will be able to accurately describe persons, vehicles, and other identifiers.
  • Hospitality and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by actively acknowledging pedestrians with friendly greetings, offering directions, information, and recommendations to visitors.
  • Reporting: Prepare written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and submit a daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.
Requirements:
  • Professionalism: Adhere to Block by Block performance standards.
  • Physical Abilities:
    • Walk continuously during an eight-hour shift with normal breaks.
    • Work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
    • See, frequently stoop, bend, squat, reach, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds during an eight-hour shift.
  • Communication: Possess a basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to speak, read, and write basic English to communicate with the public, understand instructions, and create reports.
