We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Via Christi Village in Hays, KS. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care to our long-term care residents, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care to long-term care patients, including administering medications and observing patients for adverse reactions.
- Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge and available resources.
- Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiating corrective action as needed.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse licensure required prior to hire date.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
