Production Master Specialist

SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor, a Production Master Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that production team members are well-trained in the manufacturing of high-quality components. This position will support Team Leaders and the Shift Supervisor in maintaining departmental standards, conducting hourly assessments, and executing various production tasks as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete hourly inspection sheets, including gauge evaluations.
- Execute production activities as necessary.
- Update production tracking boards.
- Provide the production team with essential materials.
- Fulfill LPA's and other quality assurance obligations.
- Encourage quality training among team members.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
- Adhere to quality protocols alongside operating personnel.
- Achieve and uphold all production targets.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with Team Leads and Supervisors and deliver appropriate training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient understanding of designated areas.
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with customer protocols and expectations.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Aptitude to receive direction from Supervisors and Team Leads.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing: Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours a day with scheduled breaks.
Climbing: Must be able to ascend stairs, ladders, or operate a hi-lo.
Bending or Stooping: Must be able to bend, crouch, or stoop to handle boxes, parts, or inventory.
Lifting: Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
Hand and Finger Dexterity: Ability to pick, pinch, and manipulate items using hands and fingers.
Additional Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity sufficient to lift and carry boxes and operate a hydraulic pallet jack.
Visual Acuity: Sufficient to use a computer and accurately count and verify lot numbers and quantities of parts for shipping.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing facility, including office, plant, and warehouse environments, with and without temperature control, featuring wood-coated and concrete flooring. Job responsibilities may require early morning, late evening, and weekend work hours.
