We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team at Con Edison. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for designing and planning the bulk electrical transmission system.
Key Responsibilities- Design and plan the bulk electrical transmission system to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery.
- Develop and implement plans for system upgrades and expansions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Perform system analysis and modeling to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in power system planning and design.
- Proficient in using PSS/E, TARA, or equivalent power system simulation programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with system emergency response and restoration.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
