Job Title: Delivery Driver

Wright Beverage Distributing is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely driving company vehicles and delivering products to customers on a timely basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Report to work wearing a clean and neat company uniform
  • Perform daily DOT truck safety inspection reports and file paperwork with the mechanic
  • Load and verify all BBLs and add-on orders before leaving on delivery routes
  • Drive trucks to make deliveries to retail accounts
  • Adjust invoices and collect payments for COD accounts
  • Pick up empty cases, kegs, and soda trays at every delivery
  • Refuel trucks at the end of delivery routes
  • Unload product and rotate fresh product with existing stock based on code dates
  • Return undelivered product, breakage, empties, and pallets to proper warehouse locations
  • Keep trucks clean inside and out daily, including inside bays and trailers
  • Report any issues with trucks, trailers, and hand carts to Operations Managers and Mechanics
  • Report any issues with handhelds and printers to IT Managers and Operations Managers
Customer Relations:
  • Uphold customer service philosophy and exemplify company standards while executing business activities
  • Strive to build and maintain a favorable reputation of the Company to fulfill the vision of being the Preferred Supplier with customers
  • Answer and satisfy customer complaints whenever possible to build positive business relationships
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL License or Permit
  • Preferred: College Degree
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, experience with fork lift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack, and hand cart
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack cases of varying weights, stand, and use hands and arms to reach for product. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

Work Environment Conditions:

Expected to represent brands across all Wright territories. Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts. Majority of workday and work is outside and exposed to all weather conditions.

Must hold a valid, clean NYS Commercial Class A drivers license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
