Job Summary:

Irish Welding Supply Corp. is seeking a reliable and skilled Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Propane Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering bulk propane to residential and industrial customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bulk propane to customers using a tank truck
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
  • Fills bobtail using the 30,000 gallon tank
  • Completes all paperwork for daily vehicle inspection and hazardous materials shipping
  • Delivers product to each customer and meters every delivery ticket at each stop
  • Writes start and end percentages on each delivery ticket
  • Obtains signature from customer on each delivery ticket
  • Fills out trip sheet, properly, at end of each stop with times and product delivered
  • Fills out paperwork with end mileage and gives to office when all deliveries are complete
  • Performs daily post inspection of truck per DOT regulations
  • Parks and secures truck

Requirements:

  • One year related experience and/or training
  • Propane filling and safety training certification
  • On-the-job forklift certification
  • CDL class B or higher driver's license
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • Tank endorsement

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
