Job Summary

ExecRecruitment is seeking a highly skilled Physician (MD/DO) to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Clinical Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective clinical care to patients within the scope of your specialty.

Responsibilities
  • Perform history and physical examinations as indicated.
  • Order laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Waved Lab tests such as urine dip stick, Hgb, Hct, finger stick, glucose, hemoccults, and hCg.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient's clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Perform selected invasive procedures for therapeutic and/or diagnostic reasons within the scope of validated competence.
  • Initiate and/or recommend medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
  • Comply with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care. Initiate and maintain required records and legal documents.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Counsel patients, families, and significant others about health and illness, and promote health maintenance.
  • Evaluate, plan, implement, and re-evaluate the care of individuals requiring emergency measures.
Requirements
  • Medical or osteopathic school degree.
  • Board certification in specialty or board certification within 2 years of employment.
  • Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
  • Membership in good standing on the medical staff of such hospitals as the Medical Director may request, with no suspension, diminution, or loss of such privileges for a period in excess of thirty (30) days.
  • U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency number without any suspension, diminution, or revocation.
  • Meet all qualifications to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs or any similar government-funded healthcare program.
  • Maintain a practice of medicine consistent with recognized standards of medical care and perform all activities in accordance with those standards.
  • Meet all qualifications to participate in programs maintained by Community Clinics for professional malpractice liability coverage for its employed physicians.
Work Environment

Outpatient clinic setting that houses lab, x-ray, pharmacy, etc.
