JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide visionary leadership and direction in developing and administering educational programs that utilize available resources to ensure high-quality educational experiences for students in a secure and organized environment.
SUPERVISION:
Oversees assigned personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* (1) Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the instructional program at the school.
* (2) Utilize current research and feedback to enhance instructional quality and student outcomes.
* (3) Foster an environment of high student achievement.
* (4) Collaborate with instructional staff on program planning.
* (5) Manage the selection of educational materials and resources.
* (6) Oversee the school's assessment and testing programs.
* (7) Align school initiatives with district and state educational goals.
* (8) Establish procedures for evaluating curriculum effectiveness with input from stakeholders.
* (9) Direct the creation of the master schedule and allocate teaching assignments based on needs.
* (10) Facilitate curriculum articulation within the school and with feeder schools.
* (11) Conduct interviews and recommend qualified candidates for employment.
* (12) Supervise personnel, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend employment actions.
* (13) Implement and manage employee contracts at the school.
* (14) Assign personnel to special projects to enhance school operations.
* (15) Develop job assignments for school administrators and support staff.
* (16) Create and manage duty rosters for staff as necessary.
* (17) Supervise all school activities and functions.
* (18) Build positive relationships with the community and act as a liaison.
* (19) Communicate effectively with parents, students, and community members.
* (20) Analyze and utilize data for informed decision-making.
* (21) Establish accreditation procedures and monitor compliance.
* (22) Participate in strategic planning and manage related school functions.
* (23) Assess and plan for the school's facility needs.
* (24) Coordinate support services and facility requirements.
* (25) Ensure safety and conduct facility inspections.
* (26) Oversee maintenance functions at the school.
* (27) Manage transportation services for the school.
* (28) Supervise financial resources, including budget preparation and management.
* (29) Establish student accounting and attendance procedures.
* (30) Oversee the school food service program.
* (31) Conduct staff meetings to address policies and instructional programs.
* (32) Keep the Superintendent informed of significant issues.
* (33) Maintain accurate property inventory and ensure security.
* (34) Implement policies and regulations relevant to the school.
* (35) Ensure timely and accurate reporting and record-keeping.
* (36) Establish guidelines for student conduct and disciplinary procedures.
* (37) Develop crisis management procedures and provide leadership during emergencies.
* (38) Supervise extracurricular programs at the school.
* (39) Manage athletic and student activity programs, including sponsorships.
* (40) Maintain visibility and accessibility on campus.
* (41) Attend school-related events and activities.
* (42) Oversee personnel development through training and professional growth opportunities.
* (43) Provide feedback and training to staff.
* (44) Participate in management meetings for professional development.
* (45) Uphold high standards of professional conduct.
* (46) Contribute to the Superintendent's management team.
* (47) Lead the school improvement process and implement improvement plans.
* (48) Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a vision and mission for the school.
* (49) Set high expectations for self and the organization.
* (50) Utilize effective interpersonal skills to guide teams towards achieving goals.
(51) Perform additional duties consistent with the objectives of this role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits will align with the approved compensation plan.
Work year and hours will be determined by the department.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be assessed according to the Board's evaluation policy.
