Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in the Finance Department, assisting the Controller with the monthly financial close process and overseeing various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Monthly Close Coordination:**
- Facilitate the planning and execution of all accounting operations, ensuring seamless collaboration with other departments.

2. **Journal Entries & Reconciliations:**
- Record and reconcile activities across balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

3. **Account Reconciliation:**
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, adhering to strict timelines.

4. **Cash and Intercompany Reconciliation:**
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reviews to confirm proper documentation and eliminate discrepancies.

5. **Fixed Assets Management:**
- Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation, ensuring accurate monthly reporting.

6. **Cross-Department Collaboration:**
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, and technical teams to ensure accurate job costing, inventory management, and receivables tracking.

7. **Shared Services Transactions:**
- Manage transactions that span multiple entities, ensuring proper accounting and communication across the organization.

8. **Software Implementation:**
- Assist in the rollout of accounting software solutions to enhance controls and streamline the monthly close process.

9. **Process Improvement:**
- Evaluate current accounting operations, propose enhancements, and document standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- 2-4+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Service Titan is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team environment.
