Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Snap Lab. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our hardware products, including cameras, augmented reality glasses, and other innovative devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for hardware products, including schematic design, component selection, and layout definition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, RF, thermal, and industrial design teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Debug hardware issues and work with external vendors to resolve technical problems.
  • Test and validate electrical designs to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Develop electronic prototypes for new product concepts and support development builds at external contract manufacturers.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical or hardware engineering, with a strong understanding of best practices.
  • Experience in design of battery-operated systems, including chargers, fuel gauges, and battery protection circuits.
  • Knowledge of layout strategies and tradeoffs for linear and switching power supply circuits, EMI mitigation, high-speed signal integrity, and power delivery networks.
  • Experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, battery simulators, logic analyzers, and thermal chambers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience developing consumer electronic devices at production scale.
  • Experience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro.
  • Experience navigating failure analysis with external vendors.
