Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer

Federal Signal is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at our University Park, Illinois facility.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated test fixtures and test programs for our production lines. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, software development, and test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test fixtures and test programs for production lines
  • Develop and implement software applications for test solutions
  • Perform product evaluations to ensure engineering standards are met
  • Integrate testing system software and hardware platforms
  • Design, configure, and manufacture customized ATE systems and test program sets
  • Provide design guidance and instructions to test technicians
  • Provide engineering support to resolve product testing issues
  • Produce and present architectural and development guidelines and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or equivalent
  • 0-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Development experience using National Instruments LabVIEW software
  • Knowledge of data communications and standard test equipment
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
