Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Recovery Specialist to join our team at Gateway Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will play a vital role in providing support and resources to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote our services and support individuals in recovery.
  • Client Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate the recovery process and connect with local resources.
  • Referral and Linkage: Facilitate warm hand-offs and referrals to appropriate services, ensuring seamless transitions for clients.
  • Education and Support: Offer education and support to individuals, families, and communities affected by addiction, promoting awareness and understanding of recovery resources.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and analyze data on community referrals and outcomes, informing program development and improvement.
  • Professional Development: Participate in regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Must be certified through the Pennsylvania Certification Board as a Certified Recovery Specialist.
  • Experience: Understanding of and/or personal experiences with addiction and recovery required.

Work Environment:

  • Travel: Travel within the Pittsburgh region required.
  • Work Setting: Drug and alcohol rehabilitation environment.
