Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the master planning and repair operations for facility management, specifically for Army SCIF design, including remote hazardous locations equipped with generator power distribution systems.
  • Oversee base maintenance activities and establish protocols for electrical distribution operations.
  • Analyze and determine facility needs related to unit relocations, realignments, and equipment installation and de-installation.
  • Work collaboratively with hardware and software engineers to develop, coordinate, and evaluate modeling and simulation studies.
  • Assess the implications of outputs and design interfaces across various systems.
  • Conduct engineering tasks involving analysis, design, or testing that require advanced techniques and methodologies.
  • Prepare engineering evaluations for construction projects, including preliminary designs, calculations, lifecycle costs, and equipment selection.
  • Offer guidance on mitigating electromagnetic interference in electrical and power distribution systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 6 years of diverse engineering experience in medium or low voltage power systems.
  • Proficient in the installation and maintenance of low voltage (480/220) 50/60 Hz single and multi-phase wiring.
  • Experience in electrical engineering within an architecture or engineering consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with contracting and construction management is preferred.
  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance, and repair of physical plant systems, including campus-type power generation and distribution systems.
  • Application engineering experience in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of power generation, distribution, and grounding systems.
  • Knowledge of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for data processing and communications equipment.
  • Ability to conduct critical engineering reviews of construction project submissions.
  • Capability to contribute to long-term facility management and information management planning.
  • Strong understanding of power and grounding principles and techniques.
  • Professional registration is advantageous but not required.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation.
  • Some roles may necessitate a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph.
