Job Summary

As a skilled Woodworking Specialist at SAVANNAH CHRISTIAN PREPARATORY SCHOOL, you will be responsible for crafting and repairing structures and items using wood. This role requires selecting and sourcing materials based on project needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cutting and trimming lawn areas using hand, power, or riding mowers.
  • Performing routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other tasks.
  • Shoveling snow from walkways and applying ice to prevent slipping.
  • Trimming shrubs, pulling weeds, and performing minor repairs on equipment.
  • Installing lawn furniture, rock, cement, lighting, water, and other features.
  • Watering plants and grass as needed and applying fertilizer.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with wood and select materials based on project needs.
  • Skilled in lawn maintenance, including cutting, trimming, and edging.
  • Knowledge of routine maintenance duties and ability to perform tasks such as applying plaster and fixing fountains.
