Job Title: Web Infrastructure Specialist

At Saxon Global, we are seeking a highly skilled Web Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and tuning of web servers to ensure optimal performance and functionality of multiple websites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation, configuration, security, operations, and maintenance of all web servers, application servers, and other software.
  • Conduct application and infrastructure monitoring to identify potential issues and optimize system performance.
  • Monitor usage statistics and logs to produce reports on user and website behavior.
  • Implement updates, upgrades, and patches in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot web/application server problems and security issues, and resolve them as necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues.
Requirements:
  • Strong scripting experience (shell, perl, tcl, or python).
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of Apache; JBoss, J2EE technologies, with JBoss strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of security certificates management.
  • Knowledge of ARA technologies or deployment automation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools (Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Sonarqube, Jfrog, Xray).
  • Experience integrating tools into pipelines used for Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Experience handling and managing secrets in a secure way in the CI pipeline.
  • Experience authoring scripted pipelines, preferably using the Groovy language.
  • Experience supporting development teams in troubleshooting issues/failures with their pipelines.
  • Experience supporting development teams in resolving branch and merge issues in their code repository.
  • Experience reviewing developer code for false positives on identified vulnerabilities.
  • Experience configuring and running deployment tools and setting up gates in the pipeline to ensure security and quality before deploying into production.
  • Knowledge of Apigee, F5 load balancer, and familiarity with Akamai rules management.
  • Knowledge of Linux, AIX, and/or Solaris operating system(s).
  • Knowledge of application and infrastructure monitoring with AppDynamic, Prometheus, or similar software.
  • Basic familiarity with troubleshooting Java applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team structure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or education.
  • 7-10 years of experience in application or infrastructure support in an enterprise setting.
