Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
Conducting avalanche control operations utilizing explosives, Remote Avalanche Control Systems (RACS), and ski cutting methods.
Regularly patrol designated mountain regions to identify and address potential hazards for guests.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations related to skiing, including the implementation of necessary disciplinary measures.
Execute trail opening and closing protocols as required.
Perform rescues involving cliffs, high angles, and low angles.
Conduct searches for missing individuals and equipment.
Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proficient skier or snowboarder.
Experience navigating rugged mountain terrain and challenging weather conditions. Ability to hike with skis and carry a pack weighing up to 60+ pounds on occasion.
Must be able to obtain a Washington State Labor and Industries Explosives License.
Capability to work effectively in demanding mountain environments and adverse weather.
Required Education and Experience:
High level of proficiency in skiing or snowboarding.
Medical Qualifications:
National or Washington EMT Basic, or Outdoor Emergency Care NSP Certification, along with an Annual BLS Provider CPR Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $23.00 and $31.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications.
This role does not include benefits.
All employees have the opportunity to contribute to a 401(k) plan.
To qualify for the discretionary match, an employee must complete 1,000 hours within a calendar year (with a 2-year vesting period).
All employees accrue sick leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked, up to a maximum of 64 hours annually.
