Material Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Specialist to join our team at Allegion's Technical Glass Products facility in Snoqualmie, WA. As a Material Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process by verifying the correct materials and quantities are supplied to the machining team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and stage inventory for machining
• Perform timely and accurate data entry to allocate inventory against Pick Lists and other usage
• Provide accurate inventory cycle counts and update inventory locations
• Take the initiative to research and resolve material-related problems
• Communicate and expedite shortages
• Print part labels, Pick Lists, and BOMs
• Offload and move materials to appropriate locations
• Unpack, label, and stock materials and consumables
• Complete documentation for inventory movement and transactions
• Maintain work areas according to 5S principles

Requirements:

• Forklift experience
• 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to navigate MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

Working Environment:

The employee will work in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. The employee will be required to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
