Position Overview
The Aspiring Nursing Aide Trainee (ANAT) role is designed to equip trainees with the necessary skills to successfully complete the nursing assistant competency examination. Candidates must be actively enrolled in a state-approved nursing assistant training program at the time of employment. Following the completion of the training, the ANAT will be expected to take and pass the competency exam within a specified timeframe, after which they may apply for available Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) positions within the organization. Trainees are allowed multiple attempts to pass both the written and practical components of the exam, with the requirement to undergo additional training if they do not succeed within the allotted attempts. As an ANAT, you will undertake many responsibilities typical of a certified nursing aide, contingent upon demonstrating competency through a minimum of 16 hours of foundational training.
Requirements:
- Active enrollment in a state-approved Nursing Assistant program, including completion of 16 hours of supervised practical training.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
