Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with executing inspections, evaluations, testing, and sampling procedures for all incoming materials, purchased components, and finished products. This role emphasizes technical expertise, root cause analysis, problem-solving capabilities, and leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct inspections of purchased components, subassemblies, or finished products based on established criteria utilizing standard physical, mechanical, and electrical measurements.

2. Utilize SAP to block, hold, or reject components as necessary.

3. Perform and document process and system audits in accordance with established written procedures.

4. Maintain accurate records of inspection results and testing outcomes.

5. Oversee critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning and calibration.

6. Assist in drafting and revising inspection protocols and checklists.

7. Identify issues and provide initial recommendations for corrective actions to supervisors.

8. Lead initiatives aimed at quality improvement.

9. Collaborate with production management and quality assurance teams to address defects or vendor-related quality concerns.

10. Maintain accurate records of all rejected items and manage their return process.

11. Conduct technical testing of components and raw materials, including various assessments such as Ash weight, Melt flow, and functionality tests.


Work Environment:

This position may expose the employee to various mechanical equipment, fumes, and airborne particles. Employees may also encounter temperature fluctuations and moderate noise levels.


Physical Demands:

Regular activities include walking, using hands for manipulation, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.


Qualifications:

Proficiency in using testing equipment and measurement tools is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and experience with statistical analysis tools is advantageous.
