We are seeking an experienced Counsel to join our Corporate Counseling & Transactions Unit (CC&T) in Bloomington, IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of transactional experience, preferably with expertise in technology-related agreements.

The primary focus of this role will be to advise on legal issues related to transactions for technology services, including counseling our Enterprise Technology Department, Purchasing Department, and other business areas on vendor contracts addressing privacy, data security, data licensing, and IP ownership/licensing.

This position involves significant drafting and negotiation of various technology agreements, such as SaaS, PaaS, technology consulting, staff augmentation, and outsourcing agreements. You will also serve as a counsel, advising business areas on allocating business and legal risks associated with vendor relationships.

The estimated salary for this position is $130,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. State Farm offers competitive benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional designations, employee development, wellness initiatives, and more.

To succeed in this role, you must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, active license to practice law in at least one state, and commitment to providing quality legal advice. Experience in drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements is preferred, but not required.
