Ryder is seeking a skilled and semi-skilled construction laborer to join our team as a Pallet Repair Associate. As a key member of our warehouse manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring expert craftsmanship and meeting company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and securely repair pallets to meet company standards and safety guidelines.
  • Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from pallets and use a hammer, grinder, and saw to remove existing nails.
  • Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together components.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards and wear all necessary safety equipment while repairing pallets.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 0 to 1 year of experience in carpentry or construction background preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend basic math and operate power tools in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
