Job Description:

The Warehouse Equipment Repair Technician will support overall operations by completing intermediate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) repairs and rebuilding MHE components; works under immediate supervision from detailed verbal / written instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine and scheduled maintenance on MHE equipment to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.

  • Completes mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control repairs on company MHE, utilizing knowledge of MHE systems and components.

  • Rebuilds and repairs MHE components, including hydraulic pumps, motors, and gearboxes, to extend equipment life and improve performance.

  • Repairs and maintains internal combustion support equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE, to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Operates hoists, jacks, lathes, presses, forklifts, hand tools, and industrial power tools, including electrical test equipment, to diagnose and repair MHE issues.

  • Fills out work orders and maintains accurate records of repair activities, including time spent, materials used, and equipment performance.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management to support warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or associate's degree in a related field preferred.

  • At least 4 years of experience in MHE repair and maintenance; MHE certification and computer diagnostics experience a plus.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organization and time management skills, with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Personal leadership skills and ability to motivate others to achieve shared goals.

Work Environment:

  • Operate and use hand tools, power tools, and MHE on a regular basis, with ability to work in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds a distance of 15 feet, with ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • May be required to work extended hours and / or rotating schedules, with ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel by car or airplane with overnight stays, with valid driver's license and passport.
