We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our Anesthesiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management of acute pain services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inpatient consultations and coordinate care with interdisciplinary services and providers.
- Develop and implement customized individual analgesic regimens for complex patients with multiple co-morbidities.
- Utilize multimodal analgesics, regional anesthesia, Ketamine and Lidocaine infusions, and implantable pain control devices to manage patient pain.
- Conduct patient assessments and complete physical examinations, collect clinical data, and order and interpret medical laboratory test results.
- Diagnose medical conditions, administer medications or treatments, and perform minor surgery as needed.
- Complete accurate patient coding for effective billing and maintain accurate and detailed patient medical reports.
- Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge.
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Ability to quickly master all aspects of a computerized medical recordkeeping and billing system.
- Must project a professional image and earn the confidence of others.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
- Must be HIPAA compliant at all times.
- NP - Nurse Practitioner licensure upon hire.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification upon hire.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
This role requires standing, walking, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions is essential.
